5 Must Haves When Traveling with Baby for the Holidays

It’s that time of year again when you have to pack up the family and head to Grandma’s house for the Holidays. Some of us may have long ways to go and little ones to take with us. We have come up with a list of must haves for when you are traveling with baby which will hopefully help you when you start thinking about what to pack.

Stroller Travel System– When traveling it makes it much easier if you bring the stroller along. Especially for those with infants. The best kind of stroller to have is one that fits your infant car seat, this way you can remove the car seat from the car and plop it right into the stroller and go. The stroller has storage underneath so it serves another purpose of carrying a bag or two that you may be lugging along as well.

Pack n Play– At some point and time you will be sleeping where ever you may be traveling to, and unfortunately not all places come equipped with comfy cribs for the little one. The pack n play comes in handy because it can be folded up and stores easily in the car. You can easily use the pack n play as a place for baby to sleep or even as a place for them to play. Let’s face it, grandma’s house probably isn’t baby proof and having a place for baby to play will definitely come in handy.

Tommee Tippee travel bottle warmer– This has been a life saver for me even if I’m just out and about around town. Instead of trying to find a place where I can ask for hot water to warm the babies bottle you just warm the water before you leave, or at a convenient place along the way and the thermos keeps it warm for hours. The best part about it is that the lid then acts as the place to put the water and the bottle in to be warmed.

Scented diaper disposal bags– These are great for having to throw away diapers. They are scented and can keep the stench of a number 2 diaper at bay for a while. This is great for the times when you are in the car and there is no trash can around and you have to change a diaper, or if you are at someone else’s house and don’t want to stink up their trash can.

Carrier– This makes it great for walking around and being able to be hands free when having to take baby along. You can put your little one in the carrier and carry them around while socializing with the relatives who may not have a place for baby to sit and play.

We hope you have fun and safe travels this Holiday season! What are some of your go to travel items for baby?
