Cape Goose Berries

This week we have the Cape Goose Berry. It looks very similar to a cherry tomato except it is more golden in color. It has a Cape like cover on it that you will need to peel off before consuming!

Cape gooseberries are fairly high in Vitmain C, Vitamin A and antioxidants! They are claimed to help boost your immune system and keep colds and flu away! Their higher levels of vitamin A are also quoted as being good for your eyes and help improve vision!

So we set up a little taste test! Below are our opinions!

The Verdict:

Sarah: “The have a tangy flavor to them. They kind of remind me of cherries with a hint of plum. They are seedy in texture.”

Corinne: “They are not my all time favorite but they have a decent flavor and are worth trying, you may love them! They also remind me of cherries. I’m not a huge fan of the seedy texture.”
